The Jets defeated the Colts on Sunday afternoon to ensure that we'll have no undefeated teams in the NFL this season. We will calculate each team's Trench Counter*. San Diego 42, Tennessee 17 Team Trench Counter: Chargers +19.6, Titans -19.6 The San Diego Chargers (12-3) soundly defeated the Tennessee Titans (7-8) on Christmas Night to clinch a bye in the first round of the playoffs and knock the Titans out of the playoff picture. Philip Rivers went 21-for-27 with 264 yards and two touchdowns, LaDainian Tomlinson rushed for 59 yards and two scores and Darren Sproles added 38 rushing yards and another two trips to the end zone. Titans running back Chris Johnson had 142 yards and a touchdown, leaving him 128 yards shy of 2,000 for the season with one game left. Pittsburgh 23, Baltimore 20 Team Trench Counter: Steelers +7.9, Ravens -7.9 The Pittsburgh Steelers (8-7) kept their slim playoff hopes alive with a dramatic win over the rival Baltimore Ravens (8-7). Jeff Reed hit a 38-yard field goal with 5:25 remaining in regulation to give the Steelers a much-needed victory. Pittsburgh led 20-10 at halftime, but Baltimore scored 10 points in the third quarter, including a seven-yard pass from Joe Flacco to tight end Todd Heap, who had two catches for 37 yards and a pair of scores. Santonio Holmes was Pittsburgh?s offensive star. He caught five passes for 86 yards and a touchdown. Carolina 41, N.Y. Giants 9 Team Trench Counter: Panthers +21.8, Giants -21.8 In the most important game of their season, the New York Giants (8-7) collapsed against the Carolina Panthers (7-8). Matt Moore led the Panthers with 171 yards and three touchdowns and Jonathan Stewart exploded for 206 rushing yards and a score of his won as Carolina helped keep New York out of the postseason. Eli Manning went 29-for-43 with 296 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in the team?s final game at Giants Stadium. Manning also fumbled the ball in the damaging loss. Tampa Bay 20, New Orleans 17 (OT) Team Trench Counter: Buccaneers -1.6, Saints +1.6 Connor Barth kicked a 47-yard field goal in overtime to give the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-12) an upset win over the New Orleans Saints (13-2). Cadillac Williams starred with 129 rushing yards and a touchdown as the Saints lost for the second time in as many weeks. New Orleans jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, but Tampa Bay scored 20 of the game?s final 23 points, including 14 straight in the fourth quarter. Drew Brees went 32-for-37 for 258 yards and a touchdown in the loss. New England 35, Jacksonville 7 Team Trench Counter: Patriots +16.6, Jaguars -16.6 The New England Patriots (10-5) clinched the AFC East title with a dominant victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars (7-8) at Gillette Stadium. Tom Brady went 23-for-26 with 267 yards and four touchdowns, three of which went to Randy Moss, who had four catches for 45 yards. New England?s defense held Jacksonville scoreless until the 12:41 mark in the fourth quarter, when Jaguars quarterback David Garrard scampered two yards for a touchdown. Houston 27, Miami 20 Team Trench Counter: Texans +7.7, Dolphins -7.7 In a game with huge playoff implications the Houston Texans (8-7) outlasted the Miami Dolphins (7-8) on Sunday afternoon. Matt Schaub threw for 286 yards, two touchdowns and an interception and Arian Foster rushed for 97 yards and a score at Dolphins Stadium. The Texans jumped out to a 27-3 lead in the first half and hung on for a narrow victory as Miami charged back in the third and four quarters. Even with the win, Houston will need some help to make the playoffs for the first time in franchise history. Green Bay 48, Seattle 10 Team Trench Counter: Packers +25.3, Seahawks -25.3 The Green Bay Packers (10-5) clinched a playoff berth with a win over the Seattle Seahawks (5-10) at Lambeau Field. Ryan Grant starred with 97 yards and two touchdowns, while Aaron Rodgers went 12-for-23 with 237 yards and a touchdown as Green Bay built a big lead early on. Ahman Green (29 yards and a score) and Brandon Jackson (39 total yards and three scores) got in on the fun as well. The Packers intercepted Matt Hasselbeck four times and kept the Seahawks out of the end zone until late in the fourth quarter when Hasselbeck connected with tight end John Carlson on a 16-yard touchdown. Cleveland 23, Oakland 9 Team Trench Counter: Browns +8.1, Raiders -8.1 Jerome Harrison didn?t break another single-game rushing record, but he did lead the Cleveland Browns (4-11) over the Oakland Raiders (5-10) on Sunday. Harrison rushed 39 times for 149 yards and a touchdown. His 17-yard run in the first quarter gave the Browns a lead that they would never lose at home. Charlie Frye, who started at quarterback for the Raiders, went 26-for-45 with 333 yards and three interceptions in the loss. Cincinnati 17, Kansas City 10 Team Trench Counter: Bengals +3.3, Chiefs -3.3 The Cincinnati Bengals (10-5) had just enough to beat the Kansas City Chiefs (3-12) to clinch the AFC North title. Carson Palmer connected with Chad Ochocinco on a six-yard touchdown pass with 2:03 left in regulation to push the Bengals to victory. Cedric Benson tallied 133 yards for Cincinnati, while Jamaal Charles rushed for 102 yards for the Chiefs. Larry Johnson, playing against his former team, had just 11 yards on four carries in the victory. Atlanta 31, Buffalo 3 Team Trench Counter: Falcons +20.8, Bills -20.8 The Atlanta Falcons (8-7) defeated the Buffalo Bills (5-10) in a game that had no playoff implications. Matt Ryan had 250 yards and three touchdowns, two of which went to Roddy White, who grabbed eight passes for 139 yards at the Georgia Dome. Atlanta?s defense held Buffalo to just 178 total yards and forced three turnovers (two interceptions by Brian Brohm and a fumble by Fred Jackson). San Francisco 20, Detroit 6 Team Trench Counter: 49ers +10.9, Lions -10.9 In yet another meaningless game, the San Francisco 49ers (7-8) dropped the Detroit Lions (2-13) on Sunday afternoon. Alex Smith posted 230 passing yards and a touchdown, while Frank Gore tallied 71 yards and a rushing touchdown at Candlestick Park. The Lions settled for two field goal as Drew Stanton tossed three interceptions and Detroit lost three fumbles (Stanton had one and Calvin Johnson the two others). Arizona 31, St. Louis 10 Team Trench Counter: Cardinals +18.6, Rams -18.6 The Arizona Cardinals (10-5) dominated the St. Louis Rams (1-14) in a lopsided game at University of Phoenix Stadium. Kurt Warner had 313 yards and two touchdowns and Beanie Wells (68 yards and a score) and Tim Hightower (32 yards and a score) ruled on the ground. Anquan Boldin was Arizona?s leading receiver with eight catches for 116 yards, while Larry Fitzgerald and Early Doucet found the end zone. Keith Null, making his second start, went 20-for-31 with 171 yards, a touchdown and three interceptions. N.Y. Jets 29, Indianapolis 15 Team Trench Counter: Jets +0.8, Colts -0.8 The New York Jets (8-7) handed the Indianapolis Colts (14-1) their first loss of the season as they stood just two weeks from perfection. The Colts pulled some of their starters in the third quarter and the Jets dominated the game?s final 20 minutes. With the win, the Jets can control their playoff destiny by beating the Bengals next week. New York scored the final 19 points of the game. Philadelphia 30, Denver 27 Team Trench Counter: Eagles +11.1, Broncos -11.1 David Akers drilled a 28-yard field goal to give the Philadelphia Eagles (11-4) a win over the Denver Broncos (8-7). The Broncos stormed back in the second half, but the Eagles were able to hold on for their sixth straight win and to remain in the driver?s seat in the NFC East. Philadelphia will travel to Dallas in Week 17 to play for the division title. Donovan McNabb threw for 322 yards, three touchdowns and an interception, while Kyle Orton posted 189 yards, three touchdowns and a pick of his own. Dallas 17, Washington 0 Team Trench Counter: Cowboys +13.1, Redskins -13.1 The Dallas Cowboys (10-5) clinched a playoff berth as they blanked the Washington Redskins (4-11) at FedEx Field. Tony Romo went 25-for-38 with 286 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Jason Witten was Romo?s top target, catching six passes for 117 yards. Jason Campbell had 199 yards and a touchdown as the Dallas defense made numerous timely plays. The Colts are two wins from perfection, but the Saints fell to the Cowboys on Saturday night for their first loss of the 2009 season. We will calculate each team's Trench Counter*. Indianapolis 35, Jacksonville 31 Team Trench Counter: Colts +2.1, Jaguars -2.1 The Indianapolis Colts (14-0) stormed back to remain undefeated on Thursday night against the Jacksonville Jaguars (7-7). Peyton Manning went 23-for-30 with 308 yards, four touchdowns and an interception. Joseph Addai led with Colts with 59 rushing yards, while Reggie Wayne (five catches for 132 yards and a touchdown) and Dallas Clark (seven receptions for 95 yards and two scores) where Manning?s top targets. David Garrard had 223 yards, three touchdowns and an interception. Maurice Jones-Drew rushed for 110 yards and score on 27 touches. Garrard threw touchdown strikes to three different receivers ? Mike Sims-Walker, Mike Thomas and Jones-Drew. The Jaguars appeared to have the Colts on the ropes in the fourth quarter, before the Colts took the ball and scored on one play for the game-winning touchdown. Dallas 24, New Orleans 17 Team Trench Counter: Cowboys +9.3, Saints -9.3 The Dallas Cowboys (9-5) dominated the first three quarters against the New Orleans Saints (13-1) to hand the home team their first loss of the season. Tony Romo had 312 yards and a touchdown and Miles Austin was his leading receiver with seven catches for 139 yards and a score. Marion Barber (17 rushes for 62 yards and two touchdowns) and Felix Jones (58 yards on 14 touches) helped Dallas control field position and the clock. The Cowboys lead the game 24-3 heading into the fourth period. Drew Brees struggled, going 29-for-45 with 298 yards, a touchdown and an interception. The Cowboys limited the Saints to 66 rushing yards, as Reggie Bush lead the way with a 29-yard rush on his only attempt of the game. Brees lost two fumbles at the Superdome, including one on the team's final offensive position of the game as he was sacked by Dallas linebacker DeMarcus Ware. Tennessee 27, Miami 24 (OT) Team Trench Counter: Titans +7.0, Dolphins -7.0 The Tennessee Titans (7-7) clawed back to .500 with an overtime win over the Miami Dolphins (7-7) on Sunday afternoon. Vince Young had 236 yards, three touchdowns and an interception as the Titans had a big lead early. Chris Johnson was relatively quiet, rushing for 104 yards on 29 carries and grabbing two passes for 55 yards. Justin Gage was Young's top target, hauling in two receptions for 43 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Rod Bironas hit a 46-yard field goal in overtime for the win. Chad Henne struggled, going 29-for-46 with 349 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions. The three turnovers proved to be the difference in the game. Ricky Williams surpassed the 1,000-yard mark on the season with 80 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. Rookie Brian Hartline led Miami in receiving with two catches for 96 yards at LP Field. Houston 16, St. Louis 13 Team Trench Counter: Texans +7.0, Rams -7.0 Kris Brown's 28-yard field goal with a little more than four minutes left in regulation pushed the Houston Texans (7-7) past the St. Louis Rams (1-13). Matt Schaub had 367 yards and a touchdown as Houston struggled on the ground. Ryan Moats led the Texans in rushing with 46 yards on 13 attempts. As usual, Andre Johnson starred with nine receptions for 196 yards. Rookie Keith Null had 173 yards, one touchdown and an interception. Null also lost a fumble in his second career start. Steven Jackson managed 82 yards on 20 touches, while also leading St. Louis in receiving with four catches for 41 yards at home. Danny Amendola caught a two-yard pass from Null for the Rams' only touchdown in the second quarter. Atlanta 10, N.Y. Jets 7 Team Trench Counter: Falcons +4.8, Jets -4.8 Matt Ryan found Tony Gonzalez for a game-winning touchdown in the final minutes as the Atlanta Falcons (7-7) dampened the playoff hopes of the New York Jets (7-7). Ryan had just 152 passing yards in what was a defensive battle. Jason Snelling, Jerious Norwood and Michael Turner combined to rush for 88 yards. The Falcons sacked Mark Sanchez twice and intercepted the rookie three times. Sanchez connected with Braylon Edwards on a beautiful 65-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter, but that was the extent of New York's scoring. Thomas Jones and Shonn Greene combined for 82 yards and Edwards led in receiving with five catches for 105 yards and the aforementioned score. Cleveland 41, Kansas City 34 Team Trench Counter: Browns -10.2, Chiefs -10.2 The Cleveland Browns (3-11) got a couple of highlight performances in their defeat of the Kansas City Chiefs (3-11) on Sunday. Josh Cribbs returned a pair of kickoffs more than 100 yards for touchdowns and Jerome Harrison shattered Jim Brown's single-game rushing record with 286 yards and three touchdowns. The pair helped mask the struggles of Brady Quinn, who went 10-for-17 with 66 yards and a pair of interceptions. Matt Cassel had 331 yards and two touchdowns as Kansas City?s defense struggled mightily. Jamaal Charles rushed for 154 yards and a score on 25 touches. Chris Chambers continues to thrive with the Chiefs. The veteran receiver had five catches for 114 yards and a trip to the end zone. Arizona 31, Detroit 24 Team Trench Counter: Cardinals +2.2, Lions -2.2 The Arizona Cardinals (9-5) withstood a late charge by the Detroit Lions (2-12) at Ford Field. Kurt Warner had 233 yards, two touchdowns and an interception for the Cardinals, who jumped out to a 17-0 lead at halftime. Beanie Wells had 110 yards and a touchdown on 17 rushes and Anquan Boldin (six catches for 72 yards) and Larry Fitzgerald (four receptions and 36 yards) caught scoring strikes from Warner. The Lions benched Daunte Culpepper at halftime in favor of Drew Stanton. Detroit rallied in the second half, but the quarterbacks combined to go 16-for-31 with 136 yards and two interceptions. Maurice Morris was the lone bright spot as he rushed 17 times for 126 yards and a touchdown. Rookie Louis Delmas provided a highlight play in the third quarter when he returned an interception 100 yards for seven points. New England 17, Buffalo 10 Team Trench Counter: Patriots +5.9, Bills -5.9 The New England Patriots (9-5) improve their playoff chances with a win over the Buffalo Bills (5-9) in a game that wasn't as close as the score indicates. Tom Brady went 11-for-25 with 115 yards, one touchdown and an interception. Laurence Maroney rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries and Randy Moss led New England in receiving with five catches for 70 yards and a score. Ryan Fitzpatrick had 178 yards, a touchdown and an interception. He was replaced by Trent Edwards at one point, but an injury forced Edwards to leave the game after throwing just two passes. Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch combined to rush for 105 yards and Josh Reed led Buffalo in catches with four for 63 yards at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The Bills were penalized 11 times for 124 yards. San Diego 27, Cincinnati 24 Team Trench Counter: Chargers -2.3, Bengals +2.3 Nate Kaeding kicked a 52-yard field goal with three seconds left to give the San Diego Chargers (11-3) a dramatic win over the emotional Cincinnati Bengals (9-5). Philip Rivers had 308 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions and LaDainian Tomlinson ran for 59 yards in the victory. San Diego has now won nine straight games. Vincent Jackson led the Chargers in receiving with five catches for 108 yards and two touchdowns. Carson Palmer went 27-for-40 with 314 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. The combination of Cedric Benson, Larry Johnson and Chad Ochocinco combined to rush for 114 yards and Ochocinco grabbed three passes for 79 yards and a touchdown. The Bengals took the field just three days after wide receiver Chris Henry died in a domestic dispute. Oakland 20, Denver 19 Team Trench Counter: Raiders -2.3, Broncos +2.3 The Oakland Raiders (5-9) won after JaMarcus Russell led the team on a game-winning drive late in the fourth quarter against the Denver Broncos (8-6). Charlie Frye started the game, going 9-for-17 with 68 yards and an interception, but Russell finished it by going 5-for-11 with 47 yards and a touchdown. Michael Bush (133 yards and a touchdown) and Darren McFadden (74 yards) dominated on the ground. Russell connected with Chaz Schilens for the go-ahead score with 35 seconds left. Kyle Orton had 278 yards and a touchdown, but the Broncos struggled on the ground. Knowshon Moreno rushed for 42 yards and LaMont Jordan managed 27 yards on five tries. Brandon Marshall had seven catches for 73 yards and a touchdown for the Broncos, who led 19-13 with less than a minute remaining in regulation. Tampa Bay 24, Seattle 7 Team Trench Counter: Buccaneers +9.9, Seahawks -9.9 The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-12) got just their second win of the season against the spiraling Seattle Seahawks (5-9). Josh Freeman went 16-for-26 with 205 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Derrick Ward (67 yards) and Cadillac Williams (66 yards) helped Tampa Bay control the ground game and the pair also caught touchdown strikes in the victory. Matt Hasselbeck tossed four interceptions and lost a fumble at the Seahawks lost at Qwest Field. Julius Jones and Justin Forsett combined to rush for 120 yards and tight end John Carlson hauled in seven receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown, but Hasselbeck's turnovers doomed Jim Mora's crew. Pittsburgh 37, Green Bay 36 Team Trench Counter: Steelers +3.7, Packers -3.7 Ben Roethlisberger threw for a team-record 503 passing yards and found Mike Wallace on the side of the end zone for a game-tying touchdown as time expired. The extra points gave Pittsburgh their first win in six tries. Roethlisberger added three touchdowns to his epic yardage total and Rashard Mendenhall rushed for 38 yards and a score in the dramatic victory. Hines Ward (seven catches for 126 yards), Heath Miller (seven receptions for 118 yards) and Mike Wallace (two catches for 79 yards and two scores) led Pittsburgh in receiving. Aaron Rodgers had 383 yards and three touchdowns, including one on a drive that gave the Packers a 36-30 led with a little over two minutes left in the game. Ryan Grant and Rodgers also both found the end zone suing their feet. Greg Jennings was Green Bay's leading receiver with five catches for 118 yards and a trip to the end zone. Philadelphia 27, San Francisco 13 Team Trench Counter: Eagles +11.4, 49ers -11.4 Donovan McNabb tossed two interceptions, but the Philadelphia Eagles (10-4) got big plays when they needed them against the San Francisco 49ers (6-8). McNabb had 306 yards and a touchdown, which came on a 19-yard pass to DeSean Jackson in the first quarter. Rookie LeSean McCoy rushed for 48 yards and a score and fullback Leonard Weaver added 52 yards on 17 carries. Jackson starred with six catches for 140 yards and the aforementioned touchdown. Alex Smith went 20-for-37 with 177 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions. Frank Gore starred for the 49ers with 107 rushing yards on 16 carries, including a 37-yard burst. Josh Morgan, who had seven receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown, led San Francisco in receiving. The Eagles clinched a playoff berth with the victory. Baltimore 31, Chicago 7 Team Trench Counter: Ravens +20.3, Bears -20.3 Already out of the playoff race, the Chicago Bears (5-9) looked listless against the Baltimore Ravens (8-6). Joe Flacco had 234 yards and four touchdowns before giving way to Troy Smith. Flacco threw a pair of scores to tight end Todd Heap (56 yards) and also found Derrick Mason (87 yards) and Demetrius Williams (71 yards) for scores. Ray Rice led Baltimore's ground game with 87 yards on 16 touches. Jay Cutler went 10-for-27 with 94 yards and three interceptions before Chicago replaced him with Caleb Hanie. Matt Forte led with 69 yards on 20 carries and Earl Bennett was the leading receiver with two catches for 50 yards. The Bears have lost six of their last seven games. *Explaining The Trench Counter

Cowboys Beat Saints

The Dallas Cowboys handed the New Orleans Saints their first loss of the season on Saturday night. The Cowboys beat the Saints 24-17 in New Orleans. Dallas raced out to a 21-3 lead before New Orleans scored 14 straight points in the fourth quarter to make the ending dramatic. Nick Folk missed a 24-yard field goal with a little over two minutes left in regulation to give the Saints a chance to force overtime and steal a victory. Trailing 24-17, New Orleans marched down to the 42-yard line of Dallas before Drew Brees was sacked by DeMarcus Ware, who forced a game-ending fumble. The Saints were 13-0 before the loss. Indianapolis is the only remaining undefeated team at 14-0 with two weeks left in the regular season.

The Colts and Saints continued to dominate, the Vikings locked down a playoff berth and the Chargers won their eighth straight game in Week 14. We will calculate each team's Trench Counter*. Cleveland 13, Pittsburgh 6 Team Trench Counter: Browns -1.1, Steelers +1.1 The Cleveland Browns (2-11) dealt the Pittsburgh Steelers (6-7) their fifth straight loss on Thursday night. Brady Quinn went 6-for-19 with 60 yards, while Josh Cribbs (eight carries for 87 yards) and Chad Jennings (20 attempts for 73 yards and a touchdown) produced well on the ground. The Browns sacked Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger eight times to deal a crushing blow to the defending champion?s playoff hopes. Roethlisberger went 18-for-32 with 201 yards. Rashard Mendenhall rushed 16 times for 53 yards and Willie Parker totaled just 12 yards on three runs. Santonio Holmes led Pittsburgh in receiving with two catches for 93 yards. The Steelers sacked Quinn just once at Cleveland Browns Stadium. N.Y. Jets 26, Tampa Bay 3 Team Trench Counter: Jets +16.3, Buccaneers -16.3 The New York Jets (7-6) kept their playoff hopes alive with a dominant win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-12). Josh Freeman continued to struggle, going 14-for-33 with just 93 yards and three interceptions. He led the team in rushing with 21 yards on four carries as well. Wes Welker had another impressive effort, catching 10 passes for 105 yards in the victory. Benjamin Watson (reception) and Kevin Faulk (rush) scored New England?s touchdowns. Matt Moore played respectably, going 15-for-30 with 197 yards and a touchdown. DeAngelo Williams led Carolina in rushing with 13 attempts for 82 yards, while Jonathan Stewart added 29 yards on seven touches. Steve Smith was the team?s offensive star. He caught two passes for 83 yards and a touchdown, which gave the Panthers a brief 7-0 lead in the first quarter. Minnesota 30, Cincinnati 10 Team Trench Counter: Vikings +8.6, Bengals -8.6 The Minnesota Vikings (11-2) clinched a playoff berth on Sunday with a win over the Cincinnati Bengals (9-4) at the Metrodome. Brett Favre had 192 yards, a touchdown and an interception as Adrian Peterson starred for the postseason-bound Vikings. Peterson rushed 26 times for 97 yards and two touchdowns. Peyton Manning went 20-for-42 with 220 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions. Joseph Addai rushed 16 times for 67 yards and caught five passes for 59 yards in the win. Dallas Clark starred with five receptions for 43 yards and three touchdowns. Kyle Orton had 277 yards, two touchdowns and an interception at Lucas Oil Stadium. Jason Campbell went 16-for-28 with 222 yards and two touchdowns. Quinton Gather rushed for 50 yards on 14 carries and reached the end zone twice in the fourth quarter. Washington tight end Fred Davis grabbed three passes for 50 yards and two scores. Bruce Gradkowski (153 yards) and JaMarcus Russell (74 yards and an interception) were both ineffective against Washington. Justin Fargas had 21 yards and a touchdown on nine carries, while Darren McFadden totaled the same number of yards on eight touches. McFadden, however, led Oakland in receiving with three catches for 84 yards. Tennessee 47, St. Louis 7 Team Trench Counter: Titans +32.6, Rams -32.6 The Tennessee Titans (6-7) kept their playoff hopes alive with a dominant win over the St. Louis Rams (1-12) at LP Field. Kerry Collins, who replaced an injured Vince Young midway through the game, went 11-for-19 with 154 yards and a touchdown. Prior to a leg injury, Young had 132 passing yards and a score. He suffered the injury on a 44-yard run in the first half. Chris Johnson starred for Tennessee, rushing for 117 yards and two touchdowns and catching three passes for 69 yards and a score. Rookie Keith Null struggled in his first-ever start, going 27-for-43 with 157 yards, a touchdown and five interceptions. Kenneth Darby (51 yards on a single carry) and Stephen Jackson (47 yards on 19 carries) led St. Louis in receiving. The Rams have lost five straight games. San Diego 20, Dallas 17 Team Trench Counter: Chargers -1, Cowboys +1 The San Diego Chargers (10-3) kept the Dallas Cowboys (8-5) on their infamous December slide with an impressive win at Cowboys Stadium. Philip Rivers had 272 yards, a touchdown and an interception. LaDainian Tomlinson rushed 21 times for 50 yards and a touchdown as the Chargers flashed some timely offense. Vincent Jackson led San Diego in receiving with seven catches for 120 yards, while Antonio Gates had four receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown. Tony Romo went 19-for-30 with 249 yards and two scores, while Felix Jones (51 yards) and Marion Barber (47 yards) helped Dallas excel on the ground. The Colts and Saints remained undefeated on Sunday with victories of varying degrees. We will calculate each team's Trench Counter*. N.Y. Jets 19, Buffalo 13 Team Trench Counter: Jets +12, Bills -12 Mark Sanchez hurt his knee, but was able to lead the New York Jets (6-6) to a win over the Buffalo Bills (4-8) in Toronto on Thursday night. Sanchez went 7-for-15 with 104 yards and a touchdown as the Jets dominated on the ground. Thomas Jones (109 yards), Shonn Greene (59 yards) and Tony Richardson (36 yards) helped New York do just that. The Jets sacked Ryan Fitzpatrick three times and held the Bills to just 98 passing yards. Fitzpatrick went 9-for-23 and threw an interception in the loss. Marshawn Lynch rushed six times for 60 yards and Buffalo?s lone touchdown, while Ryan Fitzpatrick (32 yards) and Fred Jackson (31 yards) added to the team?s rushing haul. Lee Evans led the Bills in receiving with just one catch for 38 yards and Terrell Owens totaled three receptions for 31 yards at the Rogers Centre. Miami 22, New England 21 Team Trench Counter: Dolphins +0.1, Patriots -0.1 Channing Crowder intercepted Tom Brady in the final seconds to give the Miami Dolphins (6-6) an important win over the New England Patriots (7-5). Chad Henne had 335 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the win. The Dolphins had just enough to beat the rival Patriots thanks to a two-point conversion and three Dan Carpenter field goals. Drew Brees went 35-for-49 with 419 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. New Orleans struggled on the ground, with Mike Bell and Pierre Thomas accounting for just 52 yards on 22 carries. Robert Meachem led the Saints in receiving with eight catches for 142 yards and a score. Garrett Hartley, who replaced John Carney, kicked the game-winning 18-yard field goal. Jason Campbell had 367 yards, three touchdowns and an interception as the Redskins gave away several opportunities to put the Saints away. Quinton Ganther led Washington in rushing with 46 yards on eight touches and Devin Thomas was the leading receiver with seven catches for 100 yards and two trips to the end zone. Oakland 27, Pittsburgh 24 Team Trench Counter: Raiders -8, Steelers +8 The Oakland Raiders (4-8) scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to stun the Pittsburgh Steelers (6-6) on Sunday afternoon. Bruce Gradkowski went 20-for-33 with 308 yards and three touchdowns, including a game-winning, 11-yard connection with Louis Murphy with nine seconds left in regulation. Justin Fargas and Darren McFadden combined to rush for 88 yards, while Murphy tallied four receptions for 128 yards and two scores. Ben Roethlisberger played, throwing for 278 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Rashard Mendenhall excelled, rushing 20 times for 103 yards and a score. Pittsburgh was explosive offensively, with Hines Ward (77 yards and a touchdown) and Santonio Holmes (149 yards and a score) going off, but they couldn?t stop Oakland in the final period. Jacksonville 23, Houston 18 Team Trench Counter: Jacksonville +6.8, Texans -6.8 The Jacksonville Jaguars (7-5) handed the Houston Texans (5-7) yet another damaging loss. David Garrard went 15-for-28 with 238 yards and two touchdowns. Maurice Jones-Drew had 76 rushing yards on 24 carries as Jacksonville?s defense kept Houston in check. Both of Garrard?s touchdown strikes came in the second quarter. Matt Schaub left briefly with a shoulder injury, but returned and finished with 207 yards, one touchdown and an interception. Andre Johnson was the lone offensive star for the Texans, catching seven passes for 99 yards and a score in the team?s fourth straight loss. Indianapolis 27, Tennessee 17 Team Trench Counter: Colts +4.8, Titans -4.8 The Indianapolis Colts (12-0) remained undefeated with a win that looked closer than it actually was against the Tennessee Titans (5-7). Peyton Manning went 24-for-37 with 270 yards and a touchdown. Joseph Addai helped Indianapolis control the game, rushing for 79 yards and two scores. Pierre Garcon was Manning?s top target, catching six passes for 136 yards at Lucas Oil Stadium. Chris Johnson surpassed the 100-yard mark yet again, rushing for 113 yards on 27 carries. Bo Scaife (56 yards and a touchdown) and Kenny Britt (46 yards and a score) led the Titans in receiving. Cincinnati 23, Detroit 13 Team Trench Counter: Bengals -1.5, Lions +1.5 The Cincinnati Bengals (9-3) scored 17 points in the second quarter against the Detroit Lions (2-10) on Sunday afternoon, ensuring the team just their second winning season in 19 years. Carson Palmer threw for 220 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions, while Cedric Benson rushed for 110 yards on 36 carries as he returned to form from a hip injury. Chad Ochocinco, who put on a poncho and a sombrero after scoring a touchdown, had nine catches for 137 yards. Carolina 16, Tampa Bay 6 Team Trench Counter: Panthers +3.9, Buccaneers -3.9 The Carolina Panthers (5-7) never trailed against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-11) at Bank of America Stadium. Matt Moore went 14-for-20 with 161 yards and an interception as Carolina was without DeAngelo Williams. Jonathan Stewart rushed 26 times for 120 yards and a score, the only touchdown of the game. Steve Smith led the Panthers in receiving with three catches for 78 yards. Josh Freeman struggled mightily, going 23-for-44 with 321 yards and five costly interceptions. Cadillac Williams and Derrick Ward combined to rush for 124 yards, but Freeman?s turnovers stalled several potential scoring drives. Antonio Bryant had five catches for 116 yards as Tampa Bay opened up the playbook a little bit for the rookie. Philadelphia 34, Atlanta 7 Team Trench Counter: Eagles +15.7, Falcons -15.7 The Philadelphia Eagles (8-4) held the Atlanta Falcons (6-6) scoreless for sixty minutes, but Roddy White caught a bobbled ball for a touchdown with no time left on the clock to spoil Philadelphia?s shutout. Donovan McNabb had 238 yards and a touchdown and Michael Vick got his first significant time of the season with the game well in hand in the second half. Vick scored his first touchdown of the season on a third-quarter run and tossed a five-yard touchdown pass to Brent Celek in the fourth. Chris Redman was pestered by the Eagles all afternoon, going 23-for-44 with 235 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. The Falcons were without Matt Ryan and Michael Turner. San Diego 30, Cleveland 23 Team Trench Counter: Chargers +16.9, Browns -16.9 The San Diego Chargers (9-3) notched their seventh straight win by beating the Cleveland Browns (1-11) on Sunday. Philip Rivers threw for 373 yards and two touchdowns and LaDainian Tomlinson rushed 20 times for 64 yards and a score. Antonio Gates led with eight catches for 167 yards, while Mike Tolbert (a 66-yard touchdown reception) and Darren Sproles (four catches for 56 yards and a score) had excellent days as well. Brady Quinn went 25-for-45 with 271 yards and three touchdowns. The trio of Josh Cribbs, James Harrison and Chris Jennings combined to rush for 101 yards in the loss. Harrison was a force as a receiver too, catching seven balls for 62 yards and two trips to the end zone. Cleveland scored 16 points in the fourth quarter to make the game interesting in the final moments. Seattle 20, San Francisco 17 Team Trench Counter: Seahawks +0.7, 49ers -0.7 Olindo Mare kicked a 30-yard field goal with no time left to push the Seattle Seahawks (5-7) past the San Francisco 49ers (5-7) at Qwest Field. Matt Hasselbeck had 198 yards and two touchdowns and Julius Jones returned to the starting role with 67 rushing yards on 20 carries. Hasselbeck connected with 10 different receivers. Nate Burleson led the way with five catches for 54 yards. Alex Smith looked sharp, going 27-for-45 with 310 yards and two touchdowns. Frank Gore rushed nine times for just 25 yards and lost a fumble on the road. Vernon Davis added to his career-season, catching six passes for 111 yards and a score. N.Y. Giants 31, Dallas 24 Team Trench Counter: Giants +3.3, Cowboys -3.3 The New York Giants (7-5) defeated the Dallas Cowboys (8-4) to make things extremely tight in the NFC East. Eli Manning went 11-for-25 with 241 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Meanwhile, Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs combined to rush for 86 yards and a score. Jacobs also had one catch that resulted in a 74-yard touchdown dash. Steve Smith led New York in receiving with six catches for 110 yards. Domenik Hixon sealed the win for the Giants with a 79-yard punt return for a touchdown with 5:33 left in regulation. Tony Romo?s stat line was sparkling, 41-for-55 with 392 yard and three touchdowns, but the Dallas defense couldn?t back him up. The Cowboys managed just 45 rushing yards on 23 attempts, but Romo was effective throwing the ball all afternoon. Kurt Warner returned from a concussion to go 22-for-32 with 285 yards and three touchdowns, two of which went to Anquan Boldin (98 yards). Larry Fitzgerald, who had eight catches for 143 yards, caught the other. After the Vikings scored the first touchdown of the game, the Cardinals outscored Minnesota 30-10 over the remainder of the contest. Brett Favre went 30-for-45 with 275 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. It marked his first multiple interception game of the season. The Vikings struggled on the ground. Ducks Going To Rose Bowl

Freshman LaMichael James ran for 166 yards and three touchdowns Thursday night to send Oregon to the Rose Bowl with a 37-33 victory over No. Oregon State, as reported by the Associated Press. Oregon also claimed the Pac-10 championship with the win, ending USC?s seven-season hold on the title. The Ducks, who have not been to the Rose Bowl since 1995, will face Ohio State in Pasadena on New Year?s Day.
